#XrisLogbook 166 - Momentum , Mood , Mystique 🇬🇧

👍🏻 Some encouraging progress this week: approval in principle for my Investor Permit in Mauritius, the bank accounts finally opening to start operating locally, and the first real estate development slowly approaching the finish line. None of these milestones happen overnight on the island but step by step the pieces are coming together. The to-do list is still long… but at least we’re now clearly walking in the right direction. 🌴

👎🏻 Is the UK slowly losing some of the momentum ? Real estate prices are softening in London, inflation still bites with every email now seems to start with the classic: “Dear valued customer, next month your bill will increase by 10%.” Even my osteopath told me he’s lost 30% of his clients… which might be the most unexpected economic indicator I’ve heard this year. Maybe it’s just a cycle… but it does feel like the mood of the country has shifted a little. 🇬🇧

✍🏻 Few people realise that Coutts has quietly been one of the most discreet power centers of British finance for more than three centuries. Its famous “Three Keys” crest originally symbolised the keys to the vault where clients’ fortunes, and perhaps a few well-guarded secrets, were kept.
