#XrisLogbook 101 - Commitment, Cutoffs, Climate 🇬🇧

👍🏻 Twelve years of hashtag#MarriageAnniversary ? That's a lifetime of shared laughter, tears, and the occasional "honey, did you really just do that?" It's been a rollercoaster ride, from the blissful honeymoon phase to the "honey, where did my other sock go?" phase. We've weathered storms, raised a tiny human, and somehow managed to keep our sanity, even if it's sometimes fueled by Mauritian rhum and matcha tea. Here's to another year of imperfectly perfect love, where the only constant is our wonderful lives. 🎂

👎🏻 I struggle with the art of hashtag#forgiveness. A single misspoken word, an unintended slight—it can cast a long shadow, no matter the circumstances. I find it easier to sever the bond, to simply walk away. Perhaps it's a form of self-preservation, a way to shield my soul. 🤷🏻‍♂️

✍🏻 Our planet is fevered. Temperatures have soared a perilous 1.1 degrees Celsius since the Industrial Revolution, fueling a deluge in catastrophic weather events. Scorching heatwaves, parching droughts, and devastating floods are no longer anomalies; they're the grim new normal. Coastal cities, once bastions of human ingenuity, now face the existential threat of rising seas, their foundations eroded by the 20-30 centimeter surge. The oceans, our life-giving blue expanse, are turning 30% more acidic, a silent killer suffocating marine life. The most vulnerable among us—the poor, the marginalized—are bearing the brunt of this hashtag#ClimateCrisis. The economic toll is equally devastating, with trillions of dollars hanging in the balance. It's a race against time. A race to decarbonize our economies, to adapt to the inevitable, and to secure a sustainable future for generations to come. 🌪️
