#XrisLogbook 134 - Out of Office, Out of Luck, Out of Names 🇫🇷

👍🏻 Day one off: you’re technically on a break, but still mentally replying to emails and making to-do lists in your head. Day two: you start to remember you’re a human, not a robot, and begin filtering out the crap that clutters your brain. By day three? Nirvana. You’ve forgotten your passwords, your job, and possibly your own last name… but hey, you’re finally relaxing. 🧘‍♂️

👎🏻 Everything was perfect: flawless due diligence, all documents in order, handshake-ready… and then, just two days before signing the SPA, the buyers pulled out. No reason given. We just lost two months and now get the joy of starting all over again with new buyers. 😤

✍🏻 Vichy may be famous for spa water and pastel charm, but beneath the soothing surface lies a history with bite. Once the unlikely capital of WWII’s collaborationist regime, it also became a hotbed for Resistance whispers… rebels hiding in plain sight between mineral sips. Even its iconic pastilles were born from war: crafted to help Napoleon’s troops stomach army rations. And here’s the kicker: Vichy doesn’t even own the rights to its own name. That’s right, anyone can slap “Vichy” on a brand, bottle, or bathrobe. 🍬
